An overview of the most recent and advanced robotic technologies to improve the quality of life for older adults, when age or illness can make elderly people potentially more vulnerable. The seventh edition of “ForItAAL” Italian forum on technologies for 'Ambient Assisted Living’ will take place in Pisa, hosted in Sant’Anna School headquarters, from June 20 to 23. The initiative is promoted and coordinated by Sant’Anna School, with the Italian Association of Ambient Assisted Living, and provides an opportunity for discussion and debate among teachers, researchers, experts, also including leading members of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research and the Ministry of Health.

The seventh edition of "ForItAAL" is preceded by "ForItAAL School", scheduled on June 20-21, at the Sant'Anna Institute of BioRobotics and dedicated to students, researchers, and professionals involved in one-day meetings, to deepen the understanding of methodologies and technologies for the "Ambient Assisted Living". The practical lessons offer a good opportunity to improve knowledge, techniques and skills also through the comparison with companies such as ST Microelectronics, lecturing on "Microcontroller" and on ''The Internet of things". Discussants include: Filippo Cavallo, researcher at the Institute of BioRobotics and Professor Giuseppe Turchetti of Sant'Anna Institute of Management, who are entrusted with the task of investigating the most technological aspects (Filippo Cavallo) and the economic impact of new technologies (Giuseppe Turchetti). The section on '' The Internet of Things" is coordinated by Antonio Tirri, researcher at Jol White Lab., promoted by Tim and Sant'Anna School.
